At the young age of 11 years old, full of energy, and always looking for the next adventure, Craig found himself playing in a nearby junkyard that had an old semi-trailer on the lot. Craig did not realize this dreadful day was going to change his life forever. He had no idea, as he climbed inside of the trailer where most of the floor was missing and nothing but steel beams and bolts were left behind, he attempted to cross the dangerous divide, then tragedy struck! Craig lost his balance, and as his body fell between the beams, his head landed on a two-inch long bolt that crushed his skull and pierced his brain. It would seem that this young kid's life had just come to an end, but suddenly Craig managed to free himself from the grip of the beams that his body was wedged between and he pulled himself up to his feet and was able to run home while losing a large amount of blood on the way. His parents were in utter shock as Craig came running into his house covered in blood. Quickly his parents rushed him to the emergency room where x-rays were taken and immediately he was taken into surgery. The head trauma surgeon came out to the waiting room to speak with his family where they were informed of the severe damage that Craig had sustained. The surgeon said they would do the best they could but if the child did manage to live and make it through the procedure he would most likely be a paraplegic and a vegetable the rest of his life. The surgeon's last statement to the parents as the surgeon turned to walk away was "If you believe in God, you should start calling on Him".You would not believe what happened next in this child's life, how he lived, and how he changed the world as we know it. This exciting and truthful biography will fill your heart with hope knowing that regardless of what your circumstances may be, you can change the world around you, make history, and leave a legacy!
